Course Levels

Level 1

At this level, children will start to develop the basic skills needed to read simple texts. They will be introduced to short, easy sentences and learn to recognize basic sight words like I, am, can, and the. The focus is on building a solid foundation with simple texts that include pictures to support understanding. Children will begin to recognize punctuation marks and practice reading from left to right. This level encourages the development of word recognition and the ability to follow basic storylines with strong visual cues.

Level 2

Children at this level will begin reading slightly more complex texts, including short stories and simple paragraphs. They will work on improving their fluency and comprehension by reading more challenging vocabulary and recognizing sight words in context. The focus is on understanding the main idea of a story, identifying key details, and answering simple questions about the text. Students will also practice sequencing events and retelling stories in their own words. The texts will become more varied, with a mix of dialogue and description.

Level 3

In this level, students will focus on developing deeper comprehension skills and fluency with more advanced texts. They will read longer stories with multiple characters and plot development. The emphasis will be on understanding the main idea, supporting details, and identifying themes in stories. Students will practice drawing inferences, making predictions, and summarizing key points. They will also begin answering questions that require them to think critically about the text, such as comparing characters or identifying the author’s purpose.
