About The Course

English Preparation is an introductory course that helps children aged 5-7 develop basic English skills, focusing on the four key areas of language: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The course aims to make children familiar with simple vocabulary, basic sentence structures, and phonics in a fun and interactive way. Here’s a breakdown of what will be taught:

  • Listening & Speaking:
Children will practice listening to simple English words, phrases, and short sentences, and respond by speaking. For example, they will learn to recognize and say phrases like:

    • Hello, my name is Anna.

    • What is your favorite color? My favorite color is blue.
Through listening activities, children will start understanding and speaking basic English phrases with confidence.

  • Vocabulary & Sentence Structure:
The course introduces simple, everyday vocabulary such as numbers, colors, animals, and common objects. Children will learn how to form simple sentences using this vocabulary, such as:

    • The cat is black.

    • I like apples.
They will also practice using common question words like What, Where, Who, and How, for example:

    • What is this? It’s a ball.

    • Where is the book? It’s on the table.

  • Phonics:
A key focus of the course is introducing children to phonics, which helps them understand letter sounds. For instance, children will learn the sounds for letters like A, B, and C and practice blending them into simple words like:

    • C-A-T = cat

    • D-O-G = dog
The aim is to help children recognize letter sounds and begin decoding simple words.

  • Reading & Writing:
As children progress, they will begin to recognize and read short words and simple sentences, like:

    • The sun is yellow.

    • I see a dog.
They will also practice writing basic sentences, such as:

    • I have a pencil.

    • This is my dog.
Through repetition and practice, children will develop their reading and writing skills, starting with easy words and sentences.

By the end of the English Preparation course, children will have built a strong foundation in the basics of English, including vocabulary, sentence structure, and phonics. They will feel more comfortable listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English, setting them up for success as they move on to more advanced language learning.
